"I must find the truth of heritage for myself
And pass it on to them, and in years to come
I believe because I have armed them with the truth,
My children and their children's children
Will venerate me,
For it is the truth that will make us free!" [1]
We gather, once again, to pay tribute to our Ancestor Dr. Margaret Taylor Goss Burroughs,Maa Kheru, who joined the Ancestors on November 21st, 2010. In addition to becoming an Icon, as well as a venerated and highly respected "Real model" during her earthly sojourn, she also served as our Guardian Queen Mother. Dr. Burroughs loved people and, as far as we could tell, most of the people whom she loved reciprocated by loving her as we, her "children," are doing now.
Those who were fortunate enough to be in a relationship with her were- in a very real sense- her "family". In fact, it could be claimed that ,if age difference warranted it or they were her peers, she was regarded as their "Mother"; or "Sister" . Her interest in the success of her "family" as well as the progress of her community, was not only well-known but also well-documented. [See Recommended Readings below].
Although Dr. Burroughs was a world- traveler , she definitely was not a "bourgeois" tourist since her community was international. She prepared for her visits by purchasing necessities to take with her as gifts to the people in her "homes" in other parts of the world. She was known as much for promoting causes and uplifting people as for building organizations and institutions. This has been documented by the "eye-witness testimony" of her progeny in a number of "H3O Art of Life" Shows and Blogs. Kindness and generosity were ingrained in her DNA.
We are endeavoring to introduce you to, or/and, to re-acquaint you with our beloved Queen Mother during the month of her birth by recommending that you watch episodes of "The H3O Art of Life Show" which are dedicated to the memory of Dr. Margaret Taylor Goss Burroughs, Maa Kheru, which are available- at all times- on our YouTube channel, h30 art of life.
